Think Dutchess Alliance for Business Announces New Director of Business Attraction and Marketing & Development Manager
Poughkeepsie, NY – Think Dutchess Alliance for Business, a nationally recognized nonprofit organization and economic development corporation, recently added two new hires to its growing team: Philip Scarano III, Director of Business Attraction and Amanda Gomes, Marketing and Development Manager.
As the Director of Business Attraction, Philip Scarano III manages all business and investment attraction activities, working closely with Sarah Lee, CEO of the Think Dutchess Alliance for Business, to market the Dutchess County region alongside the Business Development and Marketing team. With more than twenty years of media publishing and marketing experience, Philip supports business investment and job creation goals in Dutchess County by expanding local partnerships and developing strategies to attract and retain companies in the region. Philip joins Think Dutchess from AIN Publications, an aviation and aerospace publishing company, where he developed and managed logistical strategies for all onsite operations. Philip’s history of directorial roles informs his ability to lead a team of staff while developing multi-media marketing objectives that assess needs and introduce viable strategies and solutions to successfully promote and market the region.
Amanda Gomes also joins the Business Development and Marketing team. As the Marketing and Development Manager, Amanda executes the communication and fundraising goals of Think Dutchess, implementing and managing marketing, advertising, and media-relation objectives to communicate Think Dutchess’ impact to a wide variety of audiences. Amanda comes to Think Dutchess with extensive experience in marketing communications and social media management. Having developed a marketing department from the ground up in her previous role as Marketing and Social Media Manager at an international company, Amanda leads a variety of marketing initiatives and campaigns from conception to completion. With a background in event management, Amanda thrives in dynamic and fast-paced settings and applies solution-based approaches to her work - from everyday responsibilities to crisis management.
