The formal mission statement of DCEDC is:
To attract, retain, and expand for-profit and not-for profit businesses to Dutchess County.
Date Adopted: Annual Meeting - January 28, 2010
Performance Goals:
- Provide business services to at least 50 companies in the County.
- Present attraction services to at least 20 companies and attract at least 2 to the County.
- Create at least 100 permanent jobs through attraction.
- Create at least 80 jobs through expansion.
Board members acknowledge that they have read and understood the mission.
The President is appointed by the Board. All other management is appointed by the President.
Governance Committee and Operational Oversight Committee oversee mission implementation and administration respectively.
The board acknowledged these questions at the July 2010 Board meeting.
